As soon as Mitch Marner meets with another team, you trade him. Simple as that.

Uh... why?

Let him meet... 4 first rounders are enticing.

If he doesn’t budge from 10.5 for 5 years, you would have to consider other options but leafs are obviously better with him than without.

If he wants to go visit other teams then you move him. Nylander would've never dreamed about pulling this poopz.

Trade him for a proper dman and a 3rd line centre.

Trade Kadri for a dman.

Much more balanced. No one gives a poop about wingers. Think Zach Sanford played 1st line LW for the Blues at times during the playoffs. Zach Sanford.

Don't be paying your wingers extraordinary amount of money.

Just posturing still I think.

“Look, I’m serious about getting paid!”

Like many teams will be ready to offer up 4 1st rounders that easily.

Name three d-men in the NHL that you would trade Marner for? He's not going to see an offer sheet, but he was 11th in the NHL in scoring and he's getting better, he's also the youngest player in the top 11 scorers in the NHL.

Looks like things could get nasty here. And some wounds may not be healed in the end. Who would have thought this last year.

I would rather have Marner at 11 million than Nylander at 7.

Not tough to find people's opinions on Marner's dad. Really seems like a 1st rate douchebag.

If trading Marner means no more of his dad of his agent. (frank). It’s worth it for that alone.

There are lots of dmen I would trade Marner for. More in an attempt to balance out this team and not be so top heavy. I'd also rather not have 3 11m dollar players if that could be avoided.

I bet the thinking is that these round 3, 4, and later picks develop more quickly into valuable trade assets or replacements for big contract skill guys in a few years.

A question. Say that no team tenders an offer sheet on Mitch. Say that the Leafs and he end up in a stalemate. Say then that the only resolve is to trade him. So the interested team needs to clarify his contract demands before the trade is final. Say that Mitch decides to take a less expensive deal than what Leafs have offered. Do the Leafs have the right to match at this point?

SAw some Youtube clips of him when Marner was a little kid.

He represents everything I despise about hockey culture in this country.

Yes.

Before he is formally traded, he is Leafs property and any negotiated contract between Marner and another team is an "offer sheet".

You saw his DMs to that fan right?

Calling Hyman a fat ass, calling out Babs, and complaining about every other players ice times

A friend of mine knows his family quite well...he told me he’s pretty (frank)ed when it comes to Mitch and hockey. And that there’s no way Paul wants him to play away from Toronto.

Dubas probably knows this. He seems pretty annoyed about what’s going on...there’s probably more behind the scenes that we don’t know about.

Thanks and thought so. Eliminates Players from trying to "stick it" to their previous team, I guess.

WN’s dad drove a hard bargain in his playing days so it was speculation.

PM is (frank)ed. That’s a fact.
